Lisa-Leigh Aladekomo
Lisa-Leigh Aladekomo is the Managing Director and CEO of Kiniun Energy, bringing over 25 years of diverse experience across energy, manufacturing, telecoms, media, and agriculture in both the UK and Nigeria. She is a seasoned business transformation expert with a specialization in financial management, fundraising, business strategy, and operational turnaround.
In 2022, Lisa-Leigh completed her Executive MBA from TRIUM, a prestigious program combining the strengths of the London School of Economics, NYU Stern, and HEC Paris. She embarked on this journey in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and leadership excellence.
Lisa-Leigh has been integral to the founding teams of Helios Towers Nigeria, MainOne Cable Company and PNG Gas Limited where her leadership played a pivotal role in critical financial transformations, contributing to their cumulative exits exceeding $500 million. Her core competencies include successfully raising and managing over $650 million in capital across various sectors, strategic project finance, and hands-on operational leadership. She has a proven track record of restructuring debt, optimizing capital expenditures, and driving organizational efficiency through innovative solutions.
Before her current role at Kiniun Energy, Lisa-Leigh was the Chief Financial Officer at Asiko Energy Holding Limited. In this position, she led financial strategy and capital raising efforts to build LPG, Propane, and LNG gas terminals in Lagos. Her career is marked by significant achievements, including managing a $240 million construction budget and securing a $100 million loan from the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board.
In addition to her executive roles, Lisa-Leigh has served in various board positions. She was the Africa Capital Alliance (ACA) nominated CFO and Board member at Gas Train, where she oversaw the reinvigoration of a dormant 30mmscf gas plant. At Helios Towers Nigeria, she was the Helios Investment Partners (HIP) Nominated Finance Partner, reporting directly to HIP on finance and operations transformation. As the Board-nominated CFO & Executive Director at Whassan Nigeria Limited, she managed community engagement and negotiation processes, offering strategic planning and foresight. Lisa-Leigh was also recruited by Asiko Energy to drive a $300m listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), ultimately convincing the board of the benefits of raising funds locally.
Her non-executive roles include providing strategic guidance to CardCentre Nigeria Limited (CCNL) as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Finance Committee, as well as offering guidance on fundraising, project finance, and cash management for SmartCity Resorts Plc., a real estate development and asset management company.
